Relax and glide across the lake on one of the proud steamships of Lake Lucerne and let the impressive landscape pass you by.
Route: Choose the route towards Flüelen with a stop at the 'Rütli'. This is Switzerland's most historic site, where the Confederation of the Confederates was sworn in 1291.
Our tip: Restaurant Rütlihaus for a meal and visit the Swiss Knife Valley Visitor Centre in Brunnen.

We recommend a discovery tour on foot over the Chapel Bridge and through the narrow streets of the old town. Our tip: Cycle by mountain bike from Weggis to Seebodenalp. Unpack your cervelats here and picnic at one of the romantic barbecue spots and enjoy the sunset.

Take the world's steepest cogwheel railway from Alpnachstad to Lucerne's local mountain at 2128 metres above sea level. A truly exciting experience. On a clear day, the mountain offers an impressive 360-degree panorama with views of around 70 Alpine peaks.
Our tip: book a round trip by boat, cogwheel railway and aerial cableway, so you can go up one side of the mountain and down the other!
