Relax and glide across the lake on one of the proud steamships of Lake Lucerne and let the impressive landscape pass you by.
Route: Choose the route towards Flüelen with a stop at the 'Rütli'. This is Switzerland's most historic site, where the Confederation of the Confederates was sworn in 1291.
Our tip: Restaurant Rütlihaus for a meal and visit the Swiss Knife Valley Visitor Centre in Brunnen.

Lucerne is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and has incredibly beautiful sights. We recommend a discovery tour on foot over the Chapel Bridge and through the narrow streets of the old town. The perfect way to get to Lucerne is by boat from Weggis right into the heart of the city (duration approx. 45 min.).

Summer and winter - this scenic high plateau at 1030 m above sea level on the north-west flank of the Rigi is well worth a visit for an authentic nature experience with a magnificent view of the lake and the city of Lucerne.
Our tip: Cycle by mountain bike from Weggis to Seebodenalp. Unpack your cervelats here and picnic at one of the romantic barbecue spots and enjoy the sunset.

Take the world's steepest cogwheel railway from Alpnachstad to Lucerne's local mountain at 2128 metres above sea level. A truly exciting experience. On a clear day, the mountain offers an impressive 360-degree panorama with views of around 70 Alpine peaks.
Our tip: book a round trip by boat, cogwheel railway and aerial cableway, so you can go up one side of the mountain and down the other!

A lot of things come together here: Originality, customs, untouched nature, rugged rocks, powerful places. For outdoor enthusiasts, we recommend a tour through the nature reserve and the largest primeval forest in Switzerland: the Bödmernwald - here you can experience a unique world of stone, rock, water and plants. The valley is also rich in exciting historical features.
Our tip: During the summer months, visit the alpine farms in the region and drink fresh cow's milk.

This museum is for adventurers and explorers! Immerse yourself in the development of transport and mobility - whether by road, rail, water, air or space. Everything that moves comes together here. More than 3,000 objects on 20,000m2 of exhibition space. Technical achievements that (used to) shape our everyday lives. An interesting and rewarding excursion!
Our tip: take the boat directly from Weggis to Verkehrsaus! After your visit to the museum, take a leisurely stroll along the lake into the centre of Lucerne.
